Training

We provide a full IT Training, Support and Project Implementation service across Lancashire and Cheshire:

  • Clinical Applications Specialists in Lancashire / Primary Care Applications Managers in Cheshire
  • IT Systems Trainers in Cheshire

We provide training in Clinical Systems, MS Office and third-party products along with project implementation and change management to our customers across 12 CCGs, circa 350 GP practices and a wealth of other NHS and non-NHS organisations.

Clinical System Training - all aspects (inc new staff orientation, appointment configuration, Consultations for clinicians, scanning, workflow management, searches, system configuration, basic Read code / SNOMED training, document management, medicine management, etc.)

Structured Group Sessions - regular structured sessions for non-clinicians, FY2 trainees , Associate Physicians, ST3's, Medicines Managers, User Groups and input to practice manager forums.

National projects such as EPSr2, GP2GP, SCR (GP), SCR (Pharmacy), Patient Access, e-Referrals, etc.

Referral forms / proformas - (shared with DQ & e-referrals) Production of standard templates for use in GP surgeries

Local Projects - Mobile device training, Practice Mergers / Splits, UCR, LPRES, Cheshire Care Record, Data Sharing / Care Record Access, Cyber Security Training, etc.

Change Management - Adoption of new systems / processes / ways of working e.g. EPSr2 and how it affects surgery working practices, Patient Access - how we can help your surgery to implement it and maximise the uptake of Patient Facing Services, etc

MS Office  - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook at various levels

​We also produce a quarterly newsletter, as well as holding Clinical System User Groups at the same frequency.  Additionally, we offer GP, CSU and CCG staff to register for free, accredited online training sessions in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows, which can be backed up / enhanced by group or one-to-one training sessions. We also produce in-house e-learning for several products and application which is accessible via the Training Portal.
